From high school to college: the biggest transition in a lifetime

 Author: Soulayma Ben Othman

University is a completely different experience from high school, with its own set of needs and expectations.  Most students make the move successfully, but keep in mind that it is a journey with many bumps on the road .

Many students believe it is the same experience, but trust me when I say it is not. College life is full of challenges that we all overcome in the day, such as more work and a lot more of it. College work will be significantly more challenging and time-consuming for even the brightest high school students. You have to keep track of time, manage your budget and maintain your health. It’s all up to you now, you must look after yourself because no one will look after you like your family did previously.

It’s all about recognizing your talents and weaknesses, taking time for yourself, and seeking help if necessary since nothing is more essential than your mental health. If you truly think about it and know how to adjust to the new schedule, you can make it. I mean we’ve all done it but as we were still kids and still trying to figure out life, we believe everything is difficult, but it’s just that we all want to take the easy way and not rely on what we can do.
